Siesta Key Zen Waterfront

MyGreenBuildings recently completed the highest-rated green home in the State of Florida. We performed a substantial rebuild of an original Rutenberg Ranch design, based on plans created by Osborn Sharp Architects (designers of the famed Florida House). This Asian-influenced green design incorporates a large overhanging roof, providing shade to the home, and a second-story living-quarters addition, featuring the creative use of natural-light wells. The new floor plan includes a great room that opens out to large terraces through 20-foot-wide folding-door openings. The front entrance features an over-the-water path and waterfall.

A Sarasota green-building company did not set out to build the greenest house in the state when it was hired by a Siesta Key woman for an extensive remodeling project. It just worked out that way. Read Full Article >>
